Tours
Tours are normally conducted Tuesday through Friday‚ 10 am to 4 pm, and are 45 minutes to one hour in length. If possible‚ reservations should be made with the Education Department four weeks in advance by phone‚ fax‚ mail‚ or e-mail. Written confirmation will be mailed after receipt of a tour request. Fees
Schools will be charged $30 for each guided tour of 20 students. Checks payable to the Yale Center for British Art may be mailed in advance or paid upon arrival. There is no admission fee for public schools in New Haven‚ Hartford‚ and Bridgeport. Groups who schedule multiple visits receive a discount.

Cancellations
To cancel a tour please call 203 432 2858 as soon as possible.

Self-Guided Tour
Groups may decide to visit the Center without a guided tour. To avoid conflicts with scheduled tours and classes‚ please call 203 432 2858 two weeks in advance to register. Chaperones must accompany students at all times.

Chaperones
Each group of 10 students requires a chaperone‚ whether the tour is docent-led or self-guided.

Accessibility
All facilities are wheelchair accessible. Please inform the Education Department of any special needs when you book your tour.

Lunch
A local restaurant guide is available upon request. The Center does not have dining facilities.

Photography
Photography‚ without flash‚ is limited to works in the permanent collection. Students are discouraged from bringing cameras.

Museum Shop
The shop offers an array of art-related books and gifts from Great Britain‚ as well as postcards‚ posters‚ slides‚ and videos.
